Having a problem is a problem, but not solving the problem is an even bigger problem. When Helenistic (Greek speaking) widows were being overlooked in the serving of food, a complaint arose. To solve the problem the apostles did not choose to neglect their primary work of the ministry of the Word and prayer, but instead challenged the people to find qualified folks inside the church who could help. The result? Problem solved1 There is much to be learned from this incident in the life of the early church.
